On Wednesday July 9th (2008), our Equine Rescue Group travelled to Tarragona to confiscate several horses, along with the Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) of the Civil Guard. The encolosure, extremely dirty, seemed a dunghill, and the animals were no only starving but also ill: five puppies were covered with 25 cm long worms.

Regarding horses, we took away four old mares and a female colt, this severely stressed and scared. One of mares, "Nonna" (see picture) is more than 30 years old, and her hands should broke long time ago, receiving no vet care.
