4th International Conference on Legal Protection of Animals in Spain

On the common theme “Sanctioned Cruelty”, IV CIPLAE has exposed those cruelties to animals which are supported, subsidized and promoted by national governments. IV CIPLAE has taken place as a part the World Forum for Animals.

The presentation of WWF/ADENA was given in two parts: In the first half there was a revision of the global situation of fisheries, and their main effects on ecosystems and marine fauna, as well as an analysis of causes, and proposals of WWF/ADENA to improve the situation. In the second half the crisis was explained by the example of the red tuna, and the political and comercial consequences of the campaigns of WWF/ADENA to save the red tuna were commented on.
