Animal Hoarding in Sevilla (Spain)
| Last Saturday, more than 100 dogs and a cat were discovered in a house in Sevilla (Andalusia, Spain). The owners, an old couple, said they were taking care of them, and that all had been rescued from abandonment. |
| A local shelter is offering some help, with volunteers, to take real care of the animals. Some of them have been already adopted, the healthy ones, but near 80 are still there. |

|
| No official aid has been offered and no vet assistance for the charity. But things have come worst: a number of individuals have discovered the place, and camped near. Some dogs have already been stolen and taken to the camp, and volunteers could be seriously attacked if they try to avoid new robberies. The only reason to steal this ill animals is dog-fighting, using them as sparrings. |

| Altarriba Foundation has issued an appeal to all shelters through its Spanish website to get at least one dog, so they can be rescued as soon as possible and receive vet cares. Altarriba currently has near 5.000 animals, but is making room to bring some of them.
Animal hoarding is a question absolutely forgotten by Spanish authorities, it just does not exist. When a case happens, only animal associations come to rescue.
